“Dreams: Time and Reality” by Dawn Patel
Especially poignant at this time, Dawn Patel’s exhibit of mixed media paintings presents reflections on her interactions with the world and the future that she and the rest of humankind are collectively creating, underpinned by the knowledge of potentially devastating outcomes. She takes the challenge of looking at outcomes and the potential of changing them in communicating her dreams about the future.
Works in this exhibit speak to specific lucid dreams that, for Patel, unlock a puzzle she sees in terms of material reality, time, the future, and one’s purpose—all held together by choices.
